Overview:

Glen Oak Elementary School welcomes you for a fun tournament that has something for everyone!  We’re offering six different sections.  Players will play in all rounds.  USCF membership is not required to play in unrated sections. All entrants will receive a t-shirt and there will be both individual and team awards.

4-5 Unrated

6-12 Unrated

K-12 Open

Format:  

5 Rounds, G/30; d5 for all rounds, except open

Open:  4 Rounds, G/45; d5

Schedule:  

8:30am - 8:45am Check in

8:45am  Announcements

9:00am  Round 1

Concessions:

There will be breakfast items available. We will also be serving pizza and other snack items later in the day.

Parking:

There is ample parking in both the main and side lots.

Entry Fee:

$30.00 per person if received before November 7th

$40.00 per person if registering between November 8th - 15th

T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for late registrants on the date of the tournament.  You will need to pick it up after a late order arrives.  You will be notified when the second printing of t-shirts arrives.  

No onsite registrations!  

Registration closes at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15.

All students must have adult supervision throughout the duration of the tournament.

Awards:

All participants will receive a t-shirt.  Trophies will be awarded to all scoring 3.5 or higher 2.5 or higher in the open section).  Top three teams (top 4 from each school count as a team) earn a trophy in each section.  Teammates must be from the same school.  A team consists of two or more players from the same school.

Coaches:

You’ll be provided with wall charts and pairing sheets, upon request.  Ask about team rooms for your players and parents during downtime.  Sets and clocks will be provided.
